We've read of many escapes from behind the Iron Curtain. In the early 1900's escapes were planned from occupied Poland by villagers who were suspected of being political enemies of the Russian Czar, as well as by young men who did not want to serve under the Russian armies and fight for the Russian Czar against their own people.

In the autumn of the year 1913, it was rumored that all the young men of the village of Zytyn were to be drafted into the Russian army. When Lucjan heard this, he sought out his friend Franciszek at work and told him what he had heard.

THE OWL OF THE SIPAN LORD

Clare begins dreaming almost immediately. She's in the Temple of the Moon and three people, two men and a woman are there. The one man is dressed like a warrior/priest with headdress, gold and silver wrist bands, turquoise amulets, and motions for her to join them on the third platform.

She's there in a matter of minutes, like she just thought about it then arrived. They all had more Negroid features than mongoloid, which isn't a far reach, since most of the people were a mixture of the two races. She looked at the three and asked, “Who are you.”

The warrior/priest smiles, a gentle smile, “I'm Catunta, you call me the Lord of Sipan. This is my wife, Dominga, and my shaman Rafael.”

“I'm Clare Montgomery,” she said in awe. “Am I dreaming?”

“In a sense you are,” Catunta said. “We need your help.” They aren't speaking just sending their thoughts to her telepathically.

“How can I help you, sir?” Clare asked.

“Our son, Xavier, has been wronged in life. We need you to help save his spirit from the middle world, so he can be with us.”

Dominga, who was a very beautiful woman, had tears in her eyes. “We miss him so.”

Clare was surprised they came to her. “Why me?”

“The one you call the Lady of Cao is his sister, Adelgonda,” Catunta said. “Rafael said she is the one who killed Xavier and me to get control of the people.”

“The red eyes,” Clare thought out loud.

“Yes, she is them,” Catunta said.

“Who are the blue eyes, then?”

“We do not know,” Catunta said. “Perhaps they are one of our gods. Ayapec. He knows all and is probably helping you because you have a good heart.”

“I wish we could get him to be with us all the time, because red eyes, the Lady of Cao, leaves when he's around. That would help us find out what happened to your son.”

“He only comes when he is needed,” Rafael said. “Just know he is always watching.”
