Despite the assassin’s attempt to stay concealed, he is spotted by a witness, Cadence Stuart. Fearing for his witness’s life, Detective Scott has to do what he can to keep her alive until the killer(s) can be found.

However things get complicated when he falls desperately in love/lust with Cadence. Things get even more sticky when his partner and ex, Vanessa Weinstein, is also assigned the case. As volatile at the situation seems, it’s the perfect solution, Vanessa, with the help of Scott’s friends, keep him in check while they all do their best to protect their only witness. As the killer closes in, secrets are revealed and the case is blown wide open when a photo reveals more about the identity of the perp.

Undiscovered is a romance novel filled with just the right amount of suspense, humor and strong characters for a discerning reader. Dellani Oakes does a magnificent job of taking us through a dangerous and often times thrilling, Daytona Beach. If you like your cops and robbers hot then this is the book for you!

I have been waiting for a sequel to the Ninja Tattoo and finally, it is here. Like before, the author delivers not only bad ass male characters but introduces us to Nedeya, a friend of Teague's who can go toe to toe with the bad guys. Nedeya is involved in a military conspiracy when she witnesses her fiance being killed. While on the run, she is framed for his murder and so she must go deep into hiding just to survive. Nedeya's friend Aileen, reaches out to Teague on her behalf but the only problem is, Aileen's his ex! And let's just say, that relationship didn't end very well.

To make matters more complicated, Nedeya doesn't want to be found. Covering her tracks well, Teague is forced to rely on the help of friends to assist on this mission impossible before it's too late.

There are steamy scenes, action and even an explosion in this romance novel which is why it should be call a 21st century romance. There are no damsels here, and no bodice ripping nonsense, just a story about friendship, love and sacrifice. That's why I gave Conduct Unbecoming 5 stars.

If you want a good look at the characters in the Lone Wolf series, you really need to read the collection of short stories that happened long before Lone wolf, Mark and Matilda worked together against the Kahlea and the Shakazhan. Reading the book, I gained a new appreciation for their past lives and the conflicts involved. I give the collection five stars and kudos to the author for weaving such complex back-stories for the main characters.

Shakazhan is the continuing saga of the Lone wolf series. Set in 3032 in deep space Wil VanLipsing and his wife Commandant Matilda are on the heels of Wills evil son John Riley whose ship has crashed on a remote planet. John has been assimilated by an evil race after injuries require some small modifications. The action ramps up as they must stop the evil race from taking over.
Written with the same wonderful characters as before including Mark Slatterly the group is drawn into battle with a few new surprises. What will Ms. Oakes think of next to entertain her readers with? I enjoyed this book just as I had with LONE WOLF. When you read this series you feel the camaraderie of the shipmates and laugh at the situations and enjoy the steamy romances. This series has something for sci-fi and romance lovers alike. There is plenty of action yet this book is aimed at an 18+ audience. I highly recommend the books to fans who like a bit of everything in a story.

In Spanish Florida, Gabriella and Manuel have been enjoying happiness again since the troubles with the British and looking forward to celebrating Gabriella’s birthday, when once again there is the threat of war. A big party is planned and Manuel and Gabriella’s friend Sailfish of the River People is travelling back for it. On his way Sailfish unexpectedly meets a beautiful but annoying girl. Reluctant to leave Meli to face possible danger alone he decides to accompany her.

Sailfish has secretly been in love with Gabriella for some time and desperately tries to hide it. The last thing he would do would be to hurt his blood brother Manuel. Can Sailfish find his own happiness with Meli? Will the English attack the town and fort?

There is much to enjoy in this story. Although a follow on to Indian Summer this is good as a stand alone.
An excellent historical romance easily worth five stars
