THE OWL OF THE SIPAN LORD
They start walking with no direction in mind when they heard a couple of screams coming from the tent with the artifacts. Without thinking they start running towards it but stop in their tracks when they see the sand whirling around it.
“What the hell....” Cord said.
“It must be red eyes. She started coming at us at the dig, remember?” Clare said.
Harry, Percy, and few others, who heard the screams, came running to see what was going on.
“Holy shit!” Percy exclaimed. “Just like at A1, Harry. That's what happened there. Only this time the ground isn't shaking.”
Percy saw Clare and Cord standing about 20 feet away, staring at the tent. The girls were still screaming and you could hear artifacts breaking as they spun inside and hit things. Marcie and Dana have dropped to the floor as the wind twirls harder and harder.
“We have to get in there, now,” Harry said. “The girls need our help to get out.”
He, Percy, Kurt and Bill, the guy who waved to Clare and Cord earlier, made their way to the tent. They got about five feet away and couldn't move any farther, no matter how hard they tried.
“I'm going to help, you stay with the others,” Cord said.

FROM THE PAGES OF GRANDFATHERS LIFE
The night was very dark, the moon hidden behind clouds. This worked both to their advantage as well as to their disadvantage. In the darkness the soldiers couldn't see any movement, buy then they couldn’t see the ditches or mud holes either. Lucjan, while running, fell into a ditch and though he would not make it to the other side of the border. Janet, forgetting the previous warning, took hold of his arm and said, “Hurry, hurry, we mustn't stop now.”
Lucjan waved him off, “No forget about me, just go.”
But Janek stayed until he pulled Lucjan out of the ditch.
